Description by seller:
The cars build spec has been confirmed by Porsche Classic Cape Town and a certificate of authenticity can be got from Germany at an additional cost. It is a matching numbers car with service history and papers and license are up-to-date. For a 33 year old vehicle the mileage is relatively low at under 125 000km.
It was off the road for a few years while paintwork and upholstery were redone. The tan seats and door panels are not the original off-white Linen colour for practicality reasons however have been well done by well-known Porsche upholstery expert Dave Corlett of Soft Top Trimmers. An original aircon unit was found and fitted but needs to be connected and tested.
The redone paintwork is in the correct Lagoon Green Metallic (Lagungrünmetallic in German) - a colour only available on 1987, '88, '90, '92 and 1993 POrsche 911s (and 1987, '88 and '93 Porsche 928s and the 1992 POrsche 968).
The car rides well, having very recently been set up by Carrera Motors in Johannesburg. A leak-down test was done and compression is good, however there is an oil leak that needs attention.
All wheels have been refurbished and sport new tyres. Centre caps (currently not on car) are included in the sale.
With its desirable G50 gearbox, added aircon and rare right-hand-drive format, what better 911 combo is there for SA conditions?
For a 33 year old car the 125 000km
