Road-registered race car with complete spare engine.

Running a 7-port crossflow head with roller rockers that drives the rear wheels through a Mazda 5-speed gearbox. Disc brakes and a dual braking set-up handle the stopping - pipes and fittings in very good condition.

Very tidy engine bay highlighted by some custom fabricated radiator header tank and aluminium catch tank and the electric fuel pump that feeds a pair of Weber 40 carburettors. The rebuilt steering system combines with the likes of fresh suspension bushes and shock absorbers to keep all four Dunlop semi-slick-clad 13-inch Minilite-style alloy wheels on the black stuff.

Attention to detail and carful set-up mean that the feedback to the tasteful leather-rimmed steering wheel is a treat and this, combined with the trick engine, make for a more than decent 1950s British sports car track toy.

Add in the road-registered papers and it is ripe for some special-stage road rally-type events - tuck in behind the aero-screens and go!
