1979 Porsche 911 SC Targa

In 1978, Porsche introduced the new version of the 911, called the '911SC'. Porsche reintroduced the SC which designation for the first time since the 356SC (as distinguished from the race engined 356 Carrera). It featured a 3.0-litre aluminium engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and a 5-speed 915 transmission. Originally power output was 180hp, later 188hp and then in 1981 it was increased to 201hp. The move to an aluminium engine was to regain case reliability, something missing for many years with magnesium.

Good, solid, fast car with freshly rebuilt original engine by M & R Motors in Johannesburg. New window rubbers and carpets imported and fitted. Mechanically very sound. Could do with some fine detailing and tidying to make a brilliant daily drivable classic or weekend toy.

Papers are in order (status reflects 'Used/gebruik') and licence up to date.
