The Toyota Corona badge ran through ten generations between 1957 and 2001. Of course Corona is Latin for crown and for Toyota made reference to an earlier vehicle Toyota offered called the Toyota Crown. In many countries, including South Africa, the Corona was one of Toyota's first international export models, and was shortly joined by the smaller Corolla, providing buyers with a choice of a larger car, with similar operating expenses to the smaller Corolla. The Corona was Toyota's second sedan in their hierarchy of products, just below the Crown, until 1968 when the Corona name was used on a larger, all new platform and referred to as the Mark II.

Recently restored including an engine rebuild (new cranks, pistons etc.) Has a new clutch plate and redone carburetor. A few non-original mods like electronic ignition added and tasteful interior touches to make it a useable daily classic and road tripper. Papers in order and licence up to date. Paperwork status is USED/GEBRUIK and not BUILT-UP or AAPV stamped.
