Sold: 2008 Mazda MX-5 (folding hardtop)

Tidy example of the folding hardtop ‘coupé’ version. Mileage is relatively low for the age of the vehicle and the current owner has not messed about when it comes to servicing and replacing any necessary items. The interior is in very good condition with the only minor flaws being scratches on the gear knob and a very small scuff on the steering wheel, both seemingly from rings/jewellery. The driver side keyless entry touch point is not working but the car can be unlocked by clicking the unlock button on the key. Everything else is working as it should.

Both doors and bonnet show signs of some paint touch-ups. Tyres are in good condition from both an age and tread point of view.

The car drives really well and unlike many other drop-tops, the scuttle shake and rattles are minimal. There is a faint noise when depressing the clutch (possibly release bearing) but other than the noise there aren’t any side effects.

A very cool-looking, practical (it has aircon and decent boot) sports car perfectly suited for some comfortable cross-country touring, chasing some mountain passes or cruising the promenade. And if the previous NA and NB MX-5 versions are anything to go by, it will soon become a cult classic.

This car is available to view by appointment in Johannesburg.
