This car was owned and rallied by the Muhl brothers of Rustenburg and won the South African Rally Championship title in 1961, 1962 and 1963. Have a look for pics of a TRB 9 number-plated Auto Union in your old Car magazines or SCC Newsletters. It has since moved through a few hands and has been with the current owner for a dozen or so years. True to its rally pedigree, it is not a show car or trailer queen, so the body (although not rusty) has a few scrapes and paint issues. The trim is all still there and very presentable – even the original lockable fuel filler cap and pedestal-mounted reflectors are present. The 6-volt electrical system is still in place and operational but while the glass light lenses are in good condition, the plastic ones have a few age/sun-related cracks. Papers are in order and show 'Used/Gebruik' as the status.Click here to view the car.
