A homage to the iconic Giulia Ti built from a 1975 Super Nuova (the Nuova grille and lights are in the spares box and will come with car should a buyer want to return to that look).
The car is fully licensed and up to date with paperwork status reflecting as 'USED/GEBRUIK'.
No expense was spared on building the car with every aspect either revamped or replaced with new.
Power comes from a completely rebuilt 2-litre motor with spark handled by electronic ignition and fuel by a pair of rebuilt Weber carbs. The car ticks over smoothly at idle and pulls brilliantly throughout the rev range with the rebuilt five-speed box swapping cogs brilliantly. Stopping comes from new brake lines throughout and all seals, cylinders and boosters have been refurbished. The front anchors have been swapped to BMW items as per many of the Alfas playing in the historic racing fraternity.
Inside the cabin it is all fresh with new door cards (and internal dust sheet), seats redone in beautiful leather and roof lining redone according to original spec. For a personal touch the dash veneer has been swapped out for real wood inlays. There are also new carpets and new window/door/screen rubbers and a full wiring loom redo ensures all the electronics are working as they should.
Bodywork was done by Goldstar Auto Body. It was taken back to bare metal (images of the rebuild are available and can be shared via WeTransfer) and where any rust was found, new panels were imported and the rot cut out. This means new door skins, inner and outer sills, front and rear wheel arches, spare wheel well and both front passenger and driver footwell were replaced.
Correct bonnet and boot lid were fitted and headlights were refurbished. New rear lights were imported and so too were the brand-new alloy wheels from Alfaholics (sporting some very new tyres).
The underside was given as much attention as the top and sees fresh suspension, all bushes replaced and a lowering kit with Bilstein shock absorbers from Classic Alfa. Poweflow built a full stainless steel exhaust which bolts up to an original manifold with Powercoat from Sartor Brothers.
Latches, locks, switches, gauges - you name it - were given a once-over. The list goes on and on. There are some 'before' and 'progress' pics loaded below but for a full set (including videos) please mail stuart@classicccarafrica.com.
