Exterior was in 2018 treated to a full metal respray at Porsche Classic Pretoria in original shade of Z2 Silver paint. No prior accident damage was found when car was stripped. All perished seals were replaced. Restoration pics available at request. Small stone chip on front right fender just above bonnet shut line. Stone penerated Expel paint protection film. Front belly pan was replaced by Air-Cooled Wonders in 2021. No rust is visible on the vehicle. Owner did not drive vehicle in the rain and kept car in dehumidified garage. Car only washed by owner using top of the line car care products.
Interior is stock standard except for pair of custom Coco Mats. All switchgear is operational. Blaupunkt Toronto head unit offers USB and Bluetooth audio streaming. Sunroof is fully functional. Passenger seat is fitted with Rennline fire striker mount.
Full engine rebuild by Mario at M&R Motors in 2015. New fuel injectors fitted by M&R Motors in 2012. New Porsche mechanical chain tensioners and alternator fitted by GNM Works in 2018. New OEM engine mounts and Dansk fuel pump fitted by GNW in 2022. Engine leakdown test performed by GNW in 2023 – all measurements in the green. Bosch K-Jetronic-fed engine can take a few seconds to take when very cold but once up to temperature it idles perfectly. No hot-start issues. Airbox is fitted with air blow-off valve to save airbox in event of backfire. Engine is dry. Zero oil leaks. Engine never runs hot even on extremely warm days. Oil pressure is healthy and well within factory spec.
915 Type gearbox rebuilt by GNW in 2017. New Pelican Parts Super Clutch Kit and OEM gearbox mounts fitted by GNW in 2022. New OEM brake master cyclinder installed by GNW in 2016. Car is fitted with stainless steel brake lines. All brake discs replaced with OEM discs in 2015 by M&R Motors. Car is currently fitted with OEM ATE Pads. Rennline HD front shock mount bushes installed by GNW in 2021. 930 Turbo tie-rod ends installed by M&R Motors in 2015. Various suspension bushes replaced by M&R Motors in 2012. Car is fitted with N-rated (Porsche Classic approved) Michelin Pilot Exalto tyres.
All switchgear is operational. All dials work. AC works but does not blow cold – needs a re-gas. New high-output Exide battery installed by owner in 2022.
Papers are in order (status reflects 'used/gebruik') and licence up to date.
