Selling Guide

Want to sell your classic but intimidated by the idea of an online auction? Fear not: with just your trusty cell phone you can easily submit your car, spares or memorabilia for auction, no matter how ‘classic’ you are. Read on.

How selling works:

1. Submit Your Lot

Get in touch by giving us a call, dropping us an email or completing the relevant submission form.

• Tell us about you – contact details etc.
• Tell us about your car and maintenance history.
• Complete our vehicle condition grading document.
• Provide photos – see our car photography guide and parts & collectibles photography guide.
• Mail vehicle condition grading document to auction@classiccarafrica.com.
• Upload photos via WeTransfer, Google Drive or Dropbox link to
  auction@classiccarafrica.com.

2. Approval / Acceptance

We accept interesting collector cars that fit our profile and which have a realistic price expectation. You can view the Auctions page on www.classiccarafrica.com for examples.

Interesting Motorbikes, parts and collectibles are welcome too.

3. Choose Your Package

We offer three auction listing packages to our sellers:
Starter | Classic | Deluxe

4. Preparation

We prepare the auction listing and arrange for photos and technical inspections (if applicable).

5. Seller Approval

Seller approves the listing and provides final confirmation of reserve price (if applicable) and the "Buy Now" price.

6. Go Live

Auction listing goes live on the website. Typically, there is a one week "Coming Soon" period and the auction stays live for two weeks.
